FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
GENERAL CARE –
What type of maintenance should I do?
Generally your PC will not need much maintenance. The only recurring maintenance you may want to do is updating drivers and Microsoft Windows. You can update your BIOS but it is not really recommended as it is rare a worth-it BIOS updates comes out and we update your BIOS before shipping your PC anyways.
How do I update my drivers?
Typically you will get a notification or it will install automatically. If it doesn’t, you will need to go to NVIDIA GeForce Experience and follow the instructions, or go to Radeon Adrenalin Software for AMD.
Alternatively, you can go to Windows Device Manager, under “Display Adapter”, right click your GPU and select properties. Under properties, go to drivers tab and click “Update Drivers”. A window will popup, select “Search Automatically” then follow on-screen instructions. This method works for GPU, NVMe drives, and more.
How do I take the dust out of my PC?
To dust out your PC, we recommend using a low powered air blower made for electronics. You can use an air compressor, however it is not optimal has if you put it too close or hold it in one space too long it can damage components. If all you have is an air compressor, do short bursts from about 6 to 8 inches way. You can also wipe down the inside of your case (avoiding the hardware) with a clean, dry, anti-static microfiber towel. Take caution to not catch the towel on any pins, wires, or anything related to your PC hardware.
How do I update Windows?
Windows will usually update itself, however if it does not do so, go to Windows Search in the Taskbar and look for “Check for Updates” and follow the instructions.
SPECIALISED CARE –
How do I maintain my Custom Water Loop?
To maintain a custom loop, you will need to drain and refill the loop every 6 to 8 months (although it could wait a year). We recommend watching a few tutorial videos prior to doing this. You will receive everything required to maintain the loop (excluding the liquid) with your custom loop build.
How do I take care of a Custom vinyl wrap?
Your custom wrap does not have to be maintained. We do not recommend using compressed air or hard objects to clean a wrap. To clean the wrap, use a damp microfiber towel and just wipe it down gently. Take extra care around the corners and edges, as a snag could damage the wrap. Compressed air with high pressure can also damage the wrap so we do not recommend using it on the wrap.
Why is there no sound from speakers?
Please make sure your audio devices are plugged into the correct place. On the back of your computer, your speakers should be plugged into the green port and your microphone the pink port (assuming general aux devices).
The next step is to ensure you have the correct sound device selected in your operating system. In Windows, this would be the speaker symbol in the bottom right. Click that and test out the different options.
If that doesn’t work, we recommend re-installing your audio drivers and/or the software your device uses if any.
Why is my input (microphone) not working?
Ensure you plugged your microphone into the correct port (on the back the pink one, on the front it is depicted with a microphone icon).
If it is connected correctly, ensure it is selected correctly. In apps such as Discord, this would be in settings. Some games may also have this feature.
We also recommend installing any software/drivers that your device should use.
No Display on Monitor.
Ensure you have your HDMI or DisplayPort plugged into the graphics card and not the motherboard. The motherboard HDMI or DisplayPort may or may not work depending on your processor (if your motherboard even has a port). The graphics card is usually the horizontal ports (on SFX it may be vertical).
If it is connected correctly, the next step is to try a different cable.
After trying this, if you still have problems please contact us immediately. All of our systems are tested for quality assurance and left benchmarking for 72 hours. Your system will not leave our hands with this issue. If your system arrives with this issue, it means it could have been damaged during shipping (despite heavy packaging). It could be a damaged motherboard, graphics card, or a simple GPU re-seat to correct the issue.
You can contact us at Support@SupernovaGamignPC.com or Call/Text us at 305-417-9337.
I can’t control the RGB on my System.
Generally our RGB builds can be controlled via the motherboard RGB software as we use ARGB. Please ensure your build uses ARGB instead of via the use of a button or remote. If the software is not changing the colors of your system, you can try to reinstall the RGB software. ARGB software is always changing and being updates. We also recommend checking the motherboard manufacturers website for potential solutions.
You can also reach out to us over this issue, as these may not solve your problem the this issue can vary system to system.
My PC is making weird noises.
If your PC is making strange noises that is not coming from your speakers, the first thing to do is identify it. Some noises to look out for:
Strange Gurgling Sound: Liquid Coolers may make strange noises after transportation as air gets into the system and will slowly be pushed out. This sound will stop after some time of use.
Grinding coming from PC Fan: Your fan may have been damaged during shipping. We recommend opening up the case and trying to push on/adjust the fan with your hand gently. If the issue continues, please contact us for further diagnosis.
Thunking Sound: If your system contains a hard drive, it is natural for them to make some noise. You may hear a spinning sound or something along those lines. A “thunk” sound can be a sign of a failing hard drive. We recommend backing up your data on that drive ASAP and contacting us.
My PC is not turning on or turns off while under load.
Please double check that the power supply cable is connected correctly and the switch on the power supply is set to “On”. This is usually next to the power plug on the PSU.
If that does not work, verify that the connected plug does not have a problem. Your system draws a lot of power. We recommend trying a different outlet with your PC. A plug that may be able to power your network router may not be able to power an 850W+ computer.
If your computer powers off under load, we recommend trying to reproduce the issue on a different outlet.
Please contact us immediately if the issue remains.

What was the big change?
In July 2023, we decided to change Supernova Gaming entirely. The only part of the company that stayed was the Gaming PCs. We completely redid the website to be more clear, easier to use, and features Pre-Configured builds. We were local from 2018 (when we were founded) to 2021 when we created our original website. The original website was intended to be functional as we were staying mostly local to Miami, FL. Our new website is intended to be more professional and much easier and clearer to use for the end user.
This big website change came with some company changes as well. We got rid of Configurable Workstations (still offered via Request Quote). We also limited our parts to about 1/4th the amount offered before. This gives you a simpler configuration experience, and also helps us stock up on the parts we do offer. We also changed our warranty from Lifetime Warranty to 3-Year Warranty. Although the warranty isn’t lifetime, we still maintain the title Above Industry Standard warranty, as the industry standard is 1 year. We offer 3 year Full Coverage now.
You can learn more about the big company changes in About Us.
What happened to Lifetime Warranty?
We stopped offering Lifetime Warranty in July 2023 with the big company change. We now offer 3 year warranty, which still remains above the standard in our industry. By reducing the lifetime warranty to 3 years, we can offer better prices than before and also offer better coverage. Lifetime Warranty, not only what we offered but also what others who do offer it, usually only covers the part as long as its considered replaceable. If it is no longer considered replaceable your system is considered out of warranty with a “Lifetime Warranty”.
What about my warranty on my Supernova Gaming PC purchase prior to the warranty change?
Your system is still covered by the original warranty we offered at the time, so you will maintain our Lifetime Warranty, assuming your system came with it.
Why do you only offer AMD processors now?
We offer both AMD and Intel despite Intel not being a configurable option. Although we only offer AMD processors in our configurator and pre-configured builds, that doesn’t mean we don’t offer Intel or that there is anything wrong with Intel CPUs. Intel CPUs can still be purchased via our Request Quote form and can commonly be found on our Ready-to-Ship/Limited Edition builds.
We restrict our configurator to AMD due to the popular demand of AMD chips. This helps us simplify the experience for you and helps us maintain healthy inventory. By offering Intel CPUs, we would need to also have Intel Motherboards, RAM in some cases, and different Liquid Coolers on top of the processors.
