What is a good system build for the 3060Ti?
If you want a 3060Ti, we recommend pairing your Supernova Gaming PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. Alternatively, this card would pair well with an Intel i7 processor given the extra core boost.
In terms of Memory, you can’t really go wrong with any of our selections when pairing with this GPU. In general, graphics cards have their own memory so the speed will not make too much of a difference.
Concerning which motherboard is is best, we recommend going with a B550 board or a low end X570 board for AMD Ryzen, or a low to mid end Z490 for Intel Core.
Stock cooling could keep this system running at an acceptable temperature, however a cooling upgrade won’t do any hard and would make a slight difference, as this card does not throw off as much heat as something like an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.
Our Recommendations and Alternatives
Although the NVIDIA 3060Ti can handle next gen games, however will struggle with 4K. Overall it is a fantastic choice for a lower spec build. If you can’t fit an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 in your budget, you can’t go wrong with the 3060Ti. That being said, we recommend ditching the RGB and anything extra, such as a larger storage drive if you don’t need it, or extra RAM that you may not need, to fit this 3070 into your budget over the 3060Ti.
The NVIDIA 3060Ti is a fantastic choice especially when considering the price for performance, and there really isn’t many alternatives to this. We would not personally recommend getting an old generation card over the 3060Ti.
If you were looking for a last gen 20 series card as an alternative, a 2080Ti would be a better choice. The issue with that is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti is in a different league than the 3060Ti, which at that point you might as well go with a 3070.
